Am I too young to rent a car? Younger and senior drivers

Each rental agency has its own terms and conditions for younger or senior drivers which are outlined in the chart below. A daily surcharge is usual practice for younger (and frequently senior) drivers.  The minimum age for rental is between 18 and 23 and the maximum rental age is from 65, although some agencies do not enforce a maximum rental age:

    I like the idea of having an additional driver for younger who are not mature enough to rent car independently. Majority of youngsters feel it awkward but it is really essential for the safety of their lives.
